The first visit to eCom Elites official website introduces you to a mindboggling promise that only an experienced person is able to tell this is just another ludicrous promise. For a naïve entrepreneur, you will be quick to believe that the course will make you an established Online Business Guru in the next one week. That’s far from the truth. I have been in the ecommerce sector for a long time to tell if a course is good or not.
This is one of those many over-hyped dropshipping courses you come across. It has a wide range of YouTube videos meant to promote the course. The many promotional videos are worded with one goal in mind – to make you spend your hard earned cash for something that isn’t worth it.
There is a 30-day money-back guarantee, which we must note you will give up long before they think of refunding your money.

Franklin’s YouTube Channel hosts a good number of free videos. That is a good thing. However, it is not enough to make me give this course a clean bill of health. Many of the free YouTube videos have shallow information and are developed to simply entice you to visit his sales page where you shall spend big.
As much as he claims to offer a budget-friendly course of $197, it is mesmerizing to see the amount of money he makes by fleecing a large number of people their money. For some, the $197 may not seem as much, but it is quite a lot if you remember all you had to do just to get it.
To better understand why I classify this course as being overrated, I will take you through its basics. Generally, the course has a total of 10 modules. Franklin believes that by making sure the course has more modules, he will be able to deceive many people that this is a course worth taking. He may have fooled some people, but he didn’t fool me.
Detailed Review of the Course
The following are the 10 modules included in eCom Elites:
- Setting up Shopify
- Sourcing products
- Facebook Ads
- Instagram Traffic
- Organic Google Traffic
- Email Marketing
- Business and Sales
- Top Secret Videos
- Update Videos
Module 1: Setting up Shopify
This is the very first module of the course and is focused on your ability to put up your store, making sure that it runs normally. The videos in this module take the entrepreneur on how to go about with theme selection.
If you have no idea about what theme you can use, eCom Turbo is mentioned. This is a theme that is being used on a good number of ecommerce sites. As you may have already guessed, Franklin takes the slightest opportunity to market his business or any associated products.
The module also covers the steps followed in setting up shipping rates, customization of the store, promotions, special offers, working with upsells, and taxes. In addition, various payment options are discussed.
Module 2: Sourcing products
Once your store has been built, it goes without saying that you want to add in products so that you can make a sale. That is a subject that’s discussed in Module 2.
Here, candidates are helped to make sense of the wide range of products they can choose from. Product selection is not an easy matter and I feel that Franklin may have failed to put forth a proper discussion here.
He would have done better work had he began with a detailed explanation on niches instead of just diving into products available for grabs. It must be noted that before you can choose a product to sell, you first need to know the niche in which you are operating.
Module 3: Facebook Ads
Social media is the new way to get the customers you want. Facebook is one of the most reputable social media sites you can use. The fact that it has billions of customers makes it a must-use platform if you want to sell anything as a dropshipper.
This module is designed to help you have a better understanding of how to use Facebook for your store’s benefit. To be more specific, Franklin concentrates on the use of Facebook Ads to get a good number of customers.
Many of the videos presented in this module are basic. Even a Facebook Ads novice can easily see that. Thus, it makes no sense for Franklin to spend such a considerable amount of time building this module only to share information that can be accessed freely elsewhere. He totally gets it wrong here.
Module 4: Instagram Traffic
Similar to Facebook, Instagram is another platform that a dropshipper can never afford to ignore. In Module 4, Franklin makes a recommendation that you should get yourself some reputable IG influencers if you are to make it on the platform.
What this guy fails to understand is that you are still new into this world of online business, and probably tight on budget. Does he know the amount of money that IG influencers charge just to feature a product? Clearly, he has no clue of that.
To be honest, there are plenty of ways you can make it on Instagram without needing to use influencers. A good course should know how that works.

Module 5: Email Marketing
Any established online entrepreneur out there will tell you that email marketing is a gold mine. When you use it properly, you are bound to gain in tremendous ways.
Franklin gives an explanation of how to proceed with an email autoresponder. He may have made an effort to give some explanation on email marketing but it must be noted that these explanations are just too basic.
Who doesn’t know how to type an email? What was needed in this module is a better explanation on how to get the emails that you plan to send promotional messages.
Hasn’t he heard of something called “service for a benefit”? In this case, you could offer readers of your blog an e-book in exchange for them signing up to weekly newsletters. A good course must have included such a tip.
Module 6: ChatBots
The module touches upon chatbots and how to use them to increase and maintain engagement with your customers and visitors. A dual-natured practice applied by some business owners. There are too many things to consider so that it doesn’t backfire on you, and I think the module fails to expand on that.
Module 7: Business and Sales
A total of 4 videos are presented under this section, attempting to explain how you can set up the business and improve your sales. You will be forgiven if you are a bit skeptical about the videos here. That’s because they are just focused on Franklin trying to be motivational as he tells you can do it, but doesn’t show you exactly how you would do it.
It would have been perfect if he had explained how to quickly scale your business, the steps to hiring a virtual assistant and how to remain in touch with your goal. The process of creating the business goals is a whole new set of skills which need thorough explanation.
Module 8: Top Secret Videos
Without any fear of contradiction, this module is an offense to course creators. It creates the impression that you will be told of magic tips that are going to make you a successful entrepreneur. What Franklin does is far from that. He just mumbles a number of words that only help with making you more confused. The tricks shared are basic and do not warrant you buying the course.
Module 9: Organic Google Traffic
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become the new buzz word ever since we realized that we can make money online through articles and selling products. With SEO, your aim is to have your website featured among the first pages of a Google search related to a specific keyword.
That is what this module focuses on. The course is aimed at seeing to it that you have built an e-commerce site which can be looked up on Google and easily found.
Franklin provides a brief explanation of what SEO is and what is entailed under organic traffic. Even though the two terms are defined, that is not enough to get you the much-needed traffic. That is exactly where we find the module to have failed.
Module 10: Update Videos
How about another module just to waste your time and make the course appear longer? That is the role played by this module. Here, Franklin continues to update videos on a weekly basis as if he comes up with new content. The videos he has published so far in this module make no sense and have not been helpful either.
Taking this course is a waste of your valuable time. It may have been priced at $197, but you will not get the value for your money.
I agree that this is one of the cheapest courses available but where is the sense in spending money on a course which won’t be of help to you?
Having been in the ecommerce world (specifically dropshipping) for a long time, I can easily tell if a course would help you. This one won’t.
